Abdullatif Ghazi Abdullah Scam : Beware of Lee Gazi
Six months after a tournament hosted in Kuwait, Alkhurainejtour, many of the footballers who starred in the event remain unpaid.
Romario, Ronaldinho, Juan Sebastian Veron, Rivaldo, Cafu, Yaya Toure, Eric Abidal and Michel Salgado are still awaiting the payment of the sums they had agreed with the organisation and British company DreamPro.
As revealed previously by MARCA, DreamPro are the agency at the centre of the scandal.
The Kuwaiti family insist that they paid the 1.6 million dollars due to the players to the company, but the money was never handed over to the footballers.
With further investigation, the name Ghazi Abdullah is reached, a businessman who acted as a liaison between the organisation, players and DreamPro.
Abdullah, who has Kuwaiti and British nationality, has been involved in a similar controversy with a tournament in Nigeria.
Documentation from the investigation supposedly alleges that Real Mallorca are one of the clubs to have collaborated with Abdullah, though the Spanish side deny knowing anything about him.
It has also become clear that Ghazi Abdullah has used a number of different identities, too, with the most common of these being Abdullah Abdullah.
The individual was introduced as a member of Kuwait’s royal family and welcomed the players’ representatives in a BMW M6, which was then spotted in London’s suburb of Mitcham, one of the most modest in the English capital.
Abdullah signs the papers, but doesn’t appear in the organisational chart or in documentation and papers that show the origins of the company have proven to be falsified.
Those involved in the investigation believe that the plot was designed to swindle the players and that there “had to have been a collaborator inside the organisation of the match.”
Months go by, but the stars remain unpaid and the Al-Khurainej family don’t want to take responsibility.
